Tantra is really catching on, even among those of us who don't particularly want to be part of a 24-hour coitus session. What the method is really about is learning how to breathe, meditate, and transfer energy throughout your body -- you know, yoga. That energy is sensual and sexual, and therein lies the rub (so to speak), but once you've abandoned your preconceived notions about the practice, Bast Sekhmet is everything you could want in a tantric coach. She's patient, nurturing, beautiful, and has a great sense of humor. Sure, you'll hear world-beat music in the background of her classes, but the work that she and her colleagues do at the Temple -- which gives out its address only after you've RSVP'd for and been confirmed in a particular class -- is for urban movers, not flaky commune-dwellers. This ain't your (Earth) mama's tantra.
