The store reels in customer returns, damaged goods, and past-season items from high-end department stores; it's also in touch with photographers who use clothes in advertisements and designers looking to unload unused samples. But who really cares where that nutty orange Ralph Lauren (Purple Label) sundress came from when you know it cost $425 at Macy's and you're taking it home for $7? Labels and styles vary widely, from American Apparel T's to Seven For All Mankind jeans to scandalously affordable pieces by the stars of the Italian firmament. The shop's shoe collection is a revelation, though ladies with average-sized feet have less to ogle than those at the outliers of the spectrum.
