Best Late-Night Snack San Francisco 2006 - Medjool Rooftop Bar - CLOSED
The choices up top are considerably reduced from what you can command in the downstairs restaurant or cafe essentially just some mezes (hummus, tabouleh, baba ghanouj), salad, and skewered meats and shrimp but the airy rooftop aerie above Medjool is delightful, whether it's a warm summery evening or a cool fall one (heaters on). The view is surprisingly long, given that you're only on the fifth floor, and the city looks beautiful. You can sip wine, beer, or well-made cocktails and feel like you're in your own private souk under one of the canopied areas until 2 a.m. on weekend nights (hours vary). Caveat emptor: It's cash only, and the ATM on the ground floor charges quite a premium.
