Café Maritime - CLOSED
Most late-night possibilities around town are limited to bright lights and dim food, but at the small, chic Caf? Maritime, you're offered sparkling-fresh, exquisitely cooked seafood, in delightful surroundings, until 1 a.m. every night of the week. The shellfish bar proffers a variety of raw oysters and clams as well as chilled Maine lobster, Dungeness crab, and prawn cocktails. Hot starters include New England clam chowder, shrimp and crab fritters, and steamed mussels. The kitchen specializes in wild fish (Idaho trout, Northwestern salmon, local petrale sole), but carnivores can choose pork chops, hanger steak, or a fat, juicy burger. After 11 p.m., late-night bargains tempt, with a dozen Hog Island oysters for $13, draft beer for $3.50, and a daily-changing Blue Plate Special. And there's a full bar.
