Cup of Blues serves up great coffee in a cozy little shop that's blissfully devoid of all pretension. There's no artwork featuring cute birds or graffiti for sale, but the scones and pastries are delicious. There's always good blues or jazz playing softly to mellow things out, so you aren't forced to listen to the Killers before you're fully awake. This haven for city workers, Dogpatch residents, and Caltrain commuters is a reminder that some places are fine without a marketing plan or aesthetic manifesto to prop them up.
