The place itself is cozy and friendly, with big sunny windows looking out on Pine Street, and a neighborhood vibe that embraces one and all. And the food is superb: vanilla brioche French toast with crème anglaise and blackberry compote; a hash of smoky, robust housemade corned beef with two perfectly poached eggs on top; breakfast sliders of cheese, sausage, scrambled egg, and chipotle aioli on freshly baked brioche buns; a light-as-air omelette bursting with merguez lamb sausage, fresh spinach, and melted goat cheese. Even the home fries are noteworthy: buttery, crunchy, and soufflélike in texture.
