This place has been freshened up by a new family of young owners, who've continued the tradition of affordable Italian specialties (pastas, pizzas, salads served family-style) and added a few new variations of their own. Even if you think you've eaten your fill of entrées like the Organic Green pizza (pesto, spinach, broccoli, olives, feta, artichokes, garlic), the Favorite (salami, sausage, onions, mushrooms, and bell peppers), or the Succulent Shrimp (béchamel, shrimp, clams, and a blend of four cheeses), try one of the dessert pizzas (yes, dessert pizzas). We especially liked one topped with fresh ripe banana or sliced pears and Gorgonzola. It turns out that Giovanni's delicate thin crust works as well with sweet as it does with savory. Surprisingly delicious.
