It's called Golden Natural, and so long as you don't try to go there when everyone's climbing off the J-Church at 6 p.m., you can make quick work of finding fresh tomatillos or organic plumcots without throwing your money at a corporate chain. Problem is, the place doesn't offer much beyond produce. That's why the family recently opened Golden Natural Foods just down the street, complementing the stand's offerings with a full meat section and a freakish array of yogurt, protein bars, and tea. It's enough to render that dreaded weekly trip to Safeway almost obsolete.
