Trouble Coffee's "Build Your Own Damn House" is a nuts-and-bolts breakfast: a cup of coffee, a coconut, toast. Why the elaborate name? Printed on the walls are the makings of a manifesto stating, "We are local people with useful skills in tangible situations. Learn to build your own damn house. We will help." Whatever that means, the combo is good. A thick slab of white bread from Potrero Hill's Just for You Bakery is slathered with butter and dusted with cinnamon sugar. This crusty piece of perfection is accompanied by a whole coconut, served with a straw for drinking the coconut water and a spoon for digging out the guts. And, of course, a cup of Trouble's house blend coffee.
