If you've never seen Ann Randolph perform, then you might think it's strange to say that she keeps finding new and amazing things to do with her face. But in her one-woman shows at the Marsh — including the long-running Squeeze Box and current hit Loveland — she demonstrates just how inventive you can be when your features appear to be made of very warm rubber. (She's frequently compared to the late Gilda Radner, and for good reason.) Besides being a first-rate physical comedian, she's also an exceptionally good writer, crafting sly narratives that somehow never devolve into pure mugging for laughs. But make no mistake: She can mug like nobody's business, sending the audience into hysterics with little more than a bug-eyed grin.

Loveland is a MUST SEE show. I went to see by myself and loved it so much I came back and brought 11 friends with me. Funny, sad, entertaining, your emotions will take a ride.... Ann Randolph is a talent to be shared!!! Take a friend they will thank you for the amazing experience.

do NOT miss the opportunity to see Ann Randolph perform Loveland at the Marsh in Berkeley through June 13. I've seen Squeeze Box once and Loveland three times and can't wait for my fourth. Ann's awesome!
