We agree, Red Sea Market is the "best" corner store in San Francisco! If you don't want to make a trip to your local supermarket, you can usually find what you're looking for at the Red Sea. The store is always well stocked and the deli selections and pizzas are great. To top that off, the folks who work there are some of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet. Congratulations, Mike, Sam and all the other hard working employees who keep the store running like clockwork, on being recognized in SF Weekly. You deserve it. Kathleen and Grant

Red Sea Market
It's after midnight, you're too lazy to leave the apartment, and you're wanting, needing, a Snickers bar, a bottle of NyQuil, a roll of toilet paper, and maybe a slice of pizza or a piroshki or two. Solution: Call the incredibly affable folks at Red Sea and they'll fix you up. This corner grocery is more than a corner grocery — there's a deli counter with Middle Eastern specialties plus a pizza oven that produces marvelous thin-crust pies — but what really sets the place apart is that they'll deliver anything in the store (potato chips, cigarettes, a toothbrush, a bottle of gin) until midnight, every day, free, with a $15 minimum order. Delivery is quick and personable, they'll be happy to choose a bottle of wine or a pint of Ben & Jerry's for you if you can't make up your mind, and the dolmas, gyros, falafel, and tabouleh are tasty indeed.
