Produced by and featuring local comedy all-stars Sean Keane, Chris Garcia, Bucky Sinister, Alex Koll, Caitlin Gill, Chris Thayer, and guests, The Business at the Dark Room is one of the best showcases in the city. At just $5 a ticket (and two-for-one deals easily had with the print-and-cut-out "Business Dollars" on its website), it's a steal. The show packs the intimate Dark Room Theater every Wednesday, as new and returning fans munch on burritos from the nearby Taqueria Cancun and enjoy a string of unique and seasoned — and sometimes wholly unconventional — comedians. There's even the occasional spoken word act, author, or burlesque dancer, as the ethos here is one of freedom and risk-taking. The variety, skill, and energy of the performers usually results in a show that's never strictly business.
