Adopt This Homeless Animal: Bubba the Turtle

It can be an overwhelming decision when trying to decide on a new animal companion. Dogs? Cats? Pigeons? A gecko? But never fear: we’re here to help. Every Wednesday we’ll choose a different beast that we find particularly charming, unique or worthy of your love.

Here’s our choice for this week: Bubba, the yellow slider turtle.

“Bubba is an engaging and fun turtle,” reads a description of our new friend on Animal Care and Control’s website. Highlights of this special shell creature’s personality include an interest in the world around her, which already makes her more advanced than all public transit riders in San Francisco. She’s apparently quite active, AND interesting to watch. Also she was surrendered to the shelter due to landlord issues, which is personally our biggest fear.

Turtles do have specific needs, so we recommend brushing up on turtle care 101 before taking this sweetie home.

Bubba’s adoption number ID is A394529, and you can visit her sweet little shnozz in person at Animal Care & Control, located at 1200 15th Street.
