Every Wednesday we'll choose a different beast that we find particularly charming, unique or worthy of your love.

It can be an overwhelming decision when trying to decide on a new animal companion. Dogs? Cats? Pigeons? A gecko? But never fear: we’re here to help. Every Wednesday we’ll choose a different beast that we find particularly charming, unique or worthy of your love.

Here’s our choice for this week: Grizzle Bear the cat.

Grizzle Bear is a class act, preferring a tuxedo to a dress. This seven-year-old princess ended up at the shelter after her human died (*sob*).

According to Animal Care & Control staff, her hobbies include eating treats, playing with a toys and being brushed. She’s quite affectionate, which is a big perk for anyone who likes soft fluffy cats.

Grizzle Bear is having a bit of an adjustment period at the shelter, and may need a sec to adjust to her new home. The good news is her adoption fee has been waived, so qualified adopters can just swing by Animal Care & Control with her digits—A393775—to take this sweet pea home with you.

In other news, Animal Care & Control will be hosting an adoption event at Pet Food Express on Market Street this Saturday, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Full details can be found here.
