Not All Shows about Teens Are Vapid, Pregnant Wastelands: These Shows Do It Right

The media thrills in stirring the pot of conversation on what life is like for a young, vibrant woman. Frittering like an uncharged pedophile, or perhaps tittering innocuously with the familiar awkwardness of an annual speculum exam, the media opened a Pandora's Box of infotainment and unleashed upon us avid consumers a host of reality TV teen moms, chubby exhibitionist auteurs, home wrecker starlets, and GOP ne'er-do-wells. The increasing importance of young females in the trajectory of consumption is not only politically relevant, but, since much of that content comes in the form of digital media, signifies a directional shift in the entertainment industry.
