Dough & Co. Turns Five, Collaborates With Chefs to Benefit La Cocina

A four-day "collaboration donation celebration" benefits the Mission's preeminent food nonprofit.

Dough & Co., the S.F. cookie company with the egg-less dough you can eat baked or raw, turns five this week. To commemorate the occasion, founder Omar Mamoon — who writes for 7×7 and who also wrote for SF Weekly, way back when — announced a “collaboration donation celebration” with a dozen chefs and restaurants.

Mamoon’s first San Francisco apartment was across the street from immigrant-oriented food-business incubator La Cocina, and that valiant nonprofit is the beneficiary of the proceeds. From Feb. 1-4, or until the dough runs out, you can find various combinations of salted caramel, smoked salted peanut butter, horchata, and other flavors at State Bird Provisions, Duna, 4505 Meats, Navi Kitchen, RT Rotisserie, Kronnerburger, Salt & Straw, Foreign Cinema, Wes Burger ‘N More, and elsewhere.  See the full details on Instagram.

A regular volunteer at La Cocina before launching Dough & Co. in 2013, Mamoon routinely donates one percent of his time, his profits, and his cookie dough to nonprofits.
