Earl Grey and Panna Cotta Make Beautiful Music Together at Cowgirl Creamery

It's not easy to take photos of panna cotta with your cell phone.

Panna cotta is a simple Italian custard (the name literally translates to “cooked cream”) that, when done right, is one of those desserts that doesn't need exotic ingredients or tricky preparations to be supremely satisfying. That said, the delicate Earl Grey tea flavoring in Cowgirl Creamery's version ($3), found at their Sidekick cafe in the Ferry Building, offers an alluring modern update on the classic recipe.
