LATE LUNCH ALERT: Today Is Super Duper Day

Be one of the lucky 100 people to claim a free burger, starting at 3 p.m.

(Aubrie Pick)

Don’t eat an early lunch today! It’s Super Duper’s annual Super Duper Day, and starting at 3 p.m., each of the burger chain’s 10 locations — including four downtown, one in the Marina, and one in the Castro — will give away 100 burgers to the first 100 people in line.

That’s nothing new, but here’s what is. Super Duper will also drop off burgers to the staff at a bunch of Bay Area nonprofits and charitable organizations that work with homeless individuals, the environment, LGBTQ causes, and in other areas:

Larkin Street Youth
Golden Gate Restaurant Association
Mujeres Unidas y Activas: MUA
Dress For Success
La Casa de Las Madres
SF AIDS Foundation
Episcopal Community Services
GLIDE
Natural Resources Defense Council of San Francisco
Nature Bridge (Mill Valley)
Novato Youth Center

Super Duper, 346 Kearny St., 721 Market  St., 783 Mission St. (inside the Metreon), 2304 Market St., and 2201 Chestnut St, superduper.com
