Monday: Bernal Heights to Get a Pinball Bar

Plus more news on The Riddler, a Bob's Burgers mural in the Mission, and Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner looks ridiculous(ly good),

Bernal Heights Will Get a Pinball Bar

It’s called Skillshot Pinball and Bar (1000 Cortland Ave.), and as Bernalwood reports, it should be up and running in the former Cutting Edge Salon by late spring, with beer from Barebottle and Blue Oak, snacks, league nights, and — because we’re talking about Bernal — baby food.

Swan Oyster Depot Has a Secret Menu

Friend of the blog and noted secret-menu connoisseur Omar Mamoon sleuthed out the little-known offerings at Swan Oyster Depot (1517 Polk), from a dressing made with crab fat and Dijon mustard to the “dozen eggs” (a plate of thin-sliced raw scallops with Sriracha and ponzu) to the smørrebrød that pays homage to the restaurant’s Danish founders, to the plate of crab, smoked trout, and prawns ordered once each week by a regular who rolls up in a Bentley.

More Details on Hayes Valley Champagne Bar The Riddler

We already knew it would be a) great and b) run by ladies, but The Riddler (528 Laguna) will have more than 100 Champagnes in house, with an emphasis on women-made wines. (There will be one beer: Miller High Life, the Champagne of Beers.) The 500-square-foot space will have collection of vintage Champagne buckets, plus a Champagne mural on the wall facing Linden Alley. And it’s named not for the question-mark adorned Batman villain but for the person responsible for hand-rotating bottles to ensure that sediment floats to the neck and can be easily removed — a position that originated with the original bad mama of sparkling wine, the widow Cliquot.

Super Duper Will Open in Berkeley

It’s going to be a while before the space gets renovated, but Berkeleyside reports that Super Duper is scheduled to plant its flag in the East Bay for the first time, at 2355 Telegraph (formerly home to Smart Alec’s Intelligent Food).

Bob’s Burgers Mural Goes Up at Rhea’s

“Don’t tell me not to have a crap attack! I’ll have a crap attack anytime I want!” So said Linda Belcher, whose visage now graces us — alongside that of her husband’s — on the gates at Rhea’s Cafe (2200 Bryant). The Bob’s Burgers mural is significant, Hoodline reports, because Bob’s Burgers creator Loren Bouchard lived and worked nearby, and the house that’s the model for the animated burger joint is right there, too.

Nasty Woman and Bad Hombre: Drink Your Way Through the Next 36 Hours at Laszlo

Well, we know Trump isn’t likely to accept the results of the election if he loses, so maybe these will come in handy for the foreseeable future. Either way, Laszlo (2526 Mission) created $14 cocktails called Nasty Woman and Bad Hombre cocktails to ease the pain. The Nasty Woman combines basil vodka, simple syrup, lemon juice, and Thai basil leaves, while Bad Hombre is a mix of Ilegal reposado, Cocchi di Torino, Tempus Fugit creme de cacao, chocolate bitters, and chili bitters.

Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg Have a Show That Premieres Tonight

Supposedly, they met backstage on Letterman in 2008 and became instant besties (of sorts), to the point where he credited her on a limited-edition candle he sold in 2014. So Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party, which premiers tonight at 10 p.m. on VH1, should get the rapper-producer invited to a whole slew of parties in and around Westport, Conn. (It definitely pits their respective fried-chicken recipes against one another.) No one can deny their chemistry, as you will see from this amazing clip of them baking green brownies together.
