A planned New American gastropub by Quinn Wong, Gil Hoh and Ted Kim that was destined to serve 40 beers on Polk Street initially had the innocuous name Crafthaus, but now it'll go by the sexier Buffalo Theory when it opens this summer. According to Inside Scoop, the idea is that — like a herd of buffalo that's only as safe from predators as its slowest member can run — the brain's overall health benefits from alcohol's tendency to kill already-weak brain cells. The Haight Gets a Ritual Tomorrow
According to Hoodline, Ritual Coffee will open at 1300 Haight St. tomorrow (April 26). Designed to look like the European cafes of San Francisco in the 1930s-40s, it coincides with the company's altered packaging design, away from black and towards a softer white-and-red look.

An RDA represents the amount of a nutrient that’s thought to meet the needs of between 97 to 98 percent of the healthy adult population over time. Translation: most of us can (and perhaps should) get by on less.”
