We've been bringing you previews of the 3rd annual Street Food Festival all week with our picks of the best bites to try and a look at the prep involved for the event. Now we bring you the rundown on what to expect at the bars.
The layout is set up like a big sandwich with the cocktail/beer gardens as the bread encasing the Folsom Street filling; one garden is at 22nd St., the other is at 26th. The bars are organized by Rye on the Road and staffed by many of your favorite bartenders from across the city. You'll need an ID to get in, but once you are, space to eat, snacks, and music will greet you.
The menu is short and sweet with three cocktails: Lawrenceburg Swizzle ($8, Wild Turkey 81 Bourbon, lemon, mint, maple syrup, creole bitters over crushed ice), Paloma ($8, Espolon Tequila Blanco, grapefruit soda, fresh lime, pinch of salt), and the saucy Street Food Punch ($8, Flor De Cana 7-year Rum, ginger syrup, lime, aromatic bitters, prosecco).
