Las Vegas has arrived in San Francisco via a 19-foot stripper pole. The Penthouse Club has its grand opening last night. The crew went all out with this event. Everything was perfect inside, including the people working there. By the time they'd checked your ID and taken your coat they had also welcomed you with a smile, spoken their names, and extended a hand. You felt very special upon your arrival, which is the whole point, I would imagine.
The ground floor of the Penthouse Club is packed with lavish tables and a very pretty stage. The stripper pole that dawns it, stretches 19 feet in the air. I went upstairs to the press area and found another decadently decorated room. The second floor was filled with dancers and all the sexy ladies of Penthouse. They were all very attractive. The dresses were bold and neck-plunging. The makeup was amazing, the hair well coiffed, and the shoes were 90 percent clear-heeled.
The bartenders were three gorgeous girls who worked their asses off. They were overwhelmed to say the least and they never once lost their cool. The food was delicious, including New York steak and pork-roast bites that kept the masses from getting too drunk too quickly. I will admit this was my first time in a strip club of this kind. In all my sexy writing I had never once really done the strip club experience, and it's an experience for sure.
The dancers were very nice and eager to answer questions. I asked them all why they loved doing it and the majority said, "for the money." The recession may be going strong but people still love to see ladies swing around a pole and take their tops off. After watching the performance I can understand why. It's the greatest cock-tease ever. After we had all mingled and downed a few drinks the lights got low and the show began.
One by one the Penthouse dancers showed us their stuff. There was variety in height, hair color, nationality, tattoos, breast size, and dance style. The clear heels varied in color and amount of glitter. It was high-heeled dancing and no falling. These ladies were twirling, grinding, and shaking their bits all over the place. So props for not taking a nasty spill. A few climbed to the top of the pole and displayed their skills for those of us on the second floor.
If you go to this club, get a table on the second floor. The view is amazing. I brought a male friend of mine and we delighted in seeing every part of these women. The view from the top is nice, and you can really see it all.
I walked around and talked to the men screaming and throwing money around me, the first one being my date. He enjoyed the girls, some more than others. The ones he liked were the ones that you could tell loved what they did. A few of them didn't seem to be having as much fun as others, and it showed.
You could tell how much the crowd liked any particular dancer by how much money was thrown. I liked that the other girls started to step in if people were not being generous. They supported their fellow pole dancers and gave them props. It can't be easy to get naked and dance for a bunch of strangers. I go to sex parties, and even I could not do that, so props to you ladies for doing your thing.
In between dancers a woman came out to collect the bills that covered the dance floor. This is where they could have done it better. The woman they chose did not fit with the theme of the evening. I mean, you don't have to be a dancer, but maybe dress up a little. It reminded me of the cleaning-lady cartoon on the Carol Burnett show. Also, she used a janitor's type broom and none of it was sexy. The consensus around the room from the other people was that it almost ruined the experience. But it was their first night, so they have lots of chances to fix the bugs.
Beyond that it was a fun evening and a very sexy club. You do feel like you should be able to enter a casino at some point, but it's not a bad way to spend an evening. These ladies are hot, and by the time you leave you are as well.
