Here Comes the Stork: San Francisco Voted Best U.S. City to Have a Baby

Posted By on Thu, Dec 12, 2013 at 2:11 PM

  • people voted most attractive in the U.S. would also produce the happiest and healthiest babies in the country, right?

The maternal folks at have voted San Francisco the best U.S. city to have a baby in and they do so with very good reason: We absolutely love our baby mamas.

San Francisco received high marks in providing prenatal support and a pregnancy-friendly environment, as well as a near-perfect score of 99 in healthcare for moms and their adorable tikes.

The site also factored in the city's 182 playgrounds, 82 recreation centers and public schools with cafeterias low on calories and soda, but high on veggie greens and overall good nutrition.

That's all lovely for Janie and Jack, but what about mommy's baby weight? Don't fret. San Francisco is home to 43 of the steepest hills that are perfect for baby-stroller workouts.

All in all, San Francisco is commended for being on the cutting edge of all things mommy and me. No baby-mama drama on these shores.

Well, we'd love to brag some more but we don't want to wake the baby.
