In case you were wondering, The Cheesecake Factory at Union Square has 155,356 Facebook check-ins and counting (18 of which were from friends of mine), and ranks as San Francisco's 12th most checked-in place.

Blogger Max Woolf mapped out check-ins in S.F. -- which has approximately 8,000 Facebook places to check-in -- to discover where San Franciscans (and tourists) are publicly visiting.

Whether it's that you think people actually care you're at the Giants game, you're searching for hipster points by tagging yourself at Dolores Park, or that you're simply addicted to Facebook, your check-ins are recorded. Here are the highlights of your self-idolatry:

1. I've always been a Giants fan, bro!

Alright, bro, whatever you say, but I don't believe you. Your Giants gear looks post-2010. But when it comes to Facebook check-ins, AT&T Park takes the cake with 1,998,656 check-ins and counting. And since when did you have facial hair?

2. Second place goes to: Pier 39

This pier raked in 704,720 check-ins, what?! Sea lions and tourists, enough said.

3. Dolores Park weather, tho...

Like the aforementioned Giants fans, Dolores park-goers love to let people know how hip they are to S.F. Ranked at number nine, Dolores Park has 211,161 check-ins.

4. Cheesecake Factory?

Lols. That's all.

5. "I'm so over school. #SFSU #SFState #StudentProblems..."

San Francisco State University makes the list at 15, with 141,089 check-ins by our future's brightest. I'm sure the flood of #SFSU check-ins are full of enthusiastic students telling gripping tales of education and enlightenment.

While that was all good fun, @minimaxir's blog post is an examination of Facebook's Graph API and FQL(data recorders) to see what's going on in the city. If you're interested take a look and see how he breaks it down by types of places and neighborhoods, and let us know where you check-in.
