Pixar is looking across the bay for their latest film, Inside Out.

The movie, from the Emeryville company, will focus on a little girl's move from the Midwest to San Francisco after her dad gets a new job. (He must work in the tech industry.)

According to the Pixar page about upcoming releases, the film will take movie goers inside the mind of the protagonist: Riley, a 11-year-old girl who is dealing with everything that comes with being on the cusp between childhood and adolescence.

And you may remember what a struggle it was to deal with all those budding emotions at that time in your life (Or maybe you blocked out all the years you were wearing a braces?); and the film will focus on specific emotions -- with a comedic element.

"Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions -- Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling), and Sadness (Phyllis Smith)," according to Pixar.

We're sure all these emotions will rise to the surface on Riley's first experience with Muni. Fear: Will I make it to school on time? Anger: Next Bus says one minutes, but I don't even see the bus! Sadness: The bus is never coming. I'll be stuck at this bus stop forever. Joy: I see the bus! Disgust: Is that poop?

So many emotions to be had in San Francisco!

We're excited to see how it plays out, but not so excited about how long we'll have to wait. The movie hits theaters June 19, 2015.

  • U2 @ SAP Center in San Jose
Last night U2 performed the first U.S. date of it’s Innocence + Experience tour at SAP Center in San Jose. All four band members were present despite recent injuries sustained by both Bono and Edge. The sold out show took audience members on a walk down memory lane as the band revisited their roots. The innovative stage and lighting used gave the arena show an intimate feel, and engaged audience members in all sections of the venue. Photographs by Sugarwolf.

The 103rd annual Bay to Breakers 12K race was packed on Sunday despite the cold weather. With a starting point a few blocks from The Embarcadero, people dressed as bananas, Elvis and everything in between ran west through the city and finished at the Great Highway where breakers crash onto Ocean Beach.
