First the eviction notices came for the galleries at 77 and 49 Geary, then Root Division was priced out of their Mission space, followed by layoffs at Intersection for the Arts, and FLAX's eviction. Now, another blow comes to the San Francisco art community -- after 13 years, the Potrero Hill art store ARCH has received an eviction notice, says KQED.

According to the the article, the building will undergo extensive renovations, which will displace the art store and studio spaces. One artist displaced in this eviction is none other than Wendy MacNaughton, whose Meanwhile in San Francisco: The City in its Own Words captures the authentic side of San Francisco residents. The store is hoping to stay in business at another location and serve the needs of the S.F. art community, which, unfortunately, appears to be dwindling by the day.
