Car Trouble: Maserati in the Red Zone

Posted By on Thu, Aug 7, 2014 at 8:19 AM

Our sister blog the Snitch has spotted a few... vehicular situations over the course of  the week — Muni passengers pushing a car from the tracks, a tech bus bottoming out in front of the J-train, and smart cars squeezing into tiny parking spots — so we thought we'd share one we found earlier this week. As we emerged from a tranquil yoga session at Grace Cathedral, we were greeted with trumpeting car horns and a smattering of middle fingers; when the traffic cleared we saw the culprit behind the melee. Why yes, that is a Maserati parked in the red zone in front a fire hydrant. We're not sure when the driver returned or if the meter maids were able to strike parking-ticket gold. (And while you can't see through the windshield in this picture, we assure you, no one was in the car.)
