Looking Back in San Francisco Until November, Be an Extra

A source told us they ran across the Looking crew yesterday, and that one member of the HBO staff said they'd be in town until November filming new scenes for the upcoming season. And this morning we came across a call on the Project Casting site for various roles while they film in the Bay Area (from 9/3 to 11/20). The series is currently looking for extras to work in San Francisco, Oakland and Guerneville (if you're unfamiliar with this Russian River town, it's a popular gay vacation destination in Sonoma County).

The filming in Guerneville starts next week, and for their Russian River scenes they're looking for "young gay beach goers," "'bear' beach goers," and men who are certified lifeguards — they'll even provide shuttle transportation to and from the shoot.

The following week they're looking for extras to attend the "LGBT Forest Party," in Oakland, and two featured roles: the "Pupusa Cart Lady," (they should just hire the Tamale Lady, let's be honest, this role was likely based on her), and "Richie's Young Butch Lesbian Friend."

Here are the details for submitting an application for the beach goer scenes:

And yes, you'll be paid, according to the site, "Non Union extras are paid SF min Wage of $10.74/hr, which equals $85.92 for up to 8hrs, with overtime at time & 1/2 & double time after 12 hrs." IF you're willing to be nude, you'll get a bit more ash: "If cast to be Nude, rate is $250/8hrs plus overtime." And everyone gets free food while on set.
