Wow, this should be a backslapping, preachin'-to-the-choir kind of good time: Mayor Gavin Newsom will sit down with Alice Waters (of Chez Panisse Restaurant
and Slow Food International
) for the latest edition of CitySpeaks, a series of policy talks aimed at addressing the challenges San Francisco is facing and possible solutions ... blah blah blah. You get the idea. Waters and Newsom will shoot the bull on the theme of "A Vision for Good, Sustainable, Fair Food
." It should be interesting (by which I mean very crowded) and quite possibly even a teensy-weensy bit inspiring. It's happening Monday, June 2 at 7:00 p.m. (doors at 6:30) in the San Francisco Main Library Koret Auditorium
(30 Grove Street). RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org
or call 554-6279 by Thursday, May 29 to reserve a spot. Seating is limited.
