Did we mention that 18 Reasons is upgrading to a bigger place on 18th Street? Bi-Rite's Sam Mogannam called us with a few more details about the expansion that'll grow the food-focused community center by about double, square footage-wise. Not only will seating bump up from about 20 to 30, Mogannam said, but it'll mean there'll be altogether more food at 18 Reasons. More after-school and other events for kids, too.

Dinners will go weekly (they currently happen every other week). And Mogannam has a vision for Saturdays as food-filled open houses. "More open to the community," Mogannam said. "No specific events, but maybe invite in a producer, maybe always offer glass of wine, a bite to eat, a charcuterie or a cheese plate."

Like we said, work has already begun on the new space, and should wrap by fall, Mogannam said, though the move will probably happen in January.
