Day 2 of SFoodie's new morning roundup of the past 24 hours of rumor, innuendo,

and straight-up facts about San Francisco restaurant openings and

closings. We keep our heads stuck in the buzz chamber so you don't have

to.

First up, Paolo L. at Inside Scoop reports that Bruno's, the Mission bar and club, is cutting out the food. That leaves the talented Ryan Ostler and Katharine Zacher out of a restaurant. According to their Twitter feed, the pair are going to do some stages (short-term, largely free gigs) around town and then go back to working for other chefs. A collective howl of disappointment (okay, one loud "Noooo!" from a biscuit fan) just went up in the SFoodie offices.

Thrillist reported on the opening of Sons and Daughters

(708 Bush, 391-8311, www.sonsanddaughterssf.com), Teague Moriarty and Matt McNamara's new restaurant in the old Cafe Mozart spot near Union Square. The pitch: Tiny, extremely

creative-looking menu (black cod with hamhock-dashi broth; squab with something called "textures of honey").

Jay B. at Grub Street and Jon B. at Inside Scoop have put up one-two posts about bar manager Neyah White's decision to leave Nopa.

SFoodie went to Nopa for a farewell White Manhattan this weekend, but

turns out it was too soon to start mourning; the restaurant's replacing White

with two Nopa vets, Yanni Kehagiaras and Kent Howard, who are also overseeing the new bar at Nopalito.

And just because we're not going to be the ones to break the gossip chain...
