The past 24 hours in gossip, innuendo, and cold hard facts about the

San Francisco restaurant scene.

Carolyn A. at Eater SF reports that the Adagio Hotel, which shut down Cortez a while back, has replaced the restaurant with Bar Adagio (550 Geary, 775-5000, website). The pitch: More casual menu, but the same monthly cocktail classes on the second Thursday of the month.

Paolo L. at Inside Scoop shares more details about two new tenants of SFO's terminal 2, slated to open in Spring 2011. Thrillist expresses shock and awe about the possibility of high-end

420 food. SFoodie is only shocked that dessert involves a chocolate

fountain.

Then there was the comfort foods we've grown accustomed to, like creme bruleé, shrimp rolls, and pound cake. Photographs by Mabel Jimenez.
