The past 24 hours in gossip, innuendo, and cold hard facts about the San Francisco restaurant scene.

The Marina Pizza Orgasmica announced to Inside Scoop that it's about to expand into the nail salon next door. SFoodie suggests the pizzeria keep the foot baths warm and bubbling. Orgasmica. (Or gross. Not quite sure.)

Tablehopper reports that Rose Pistola is reopening today after a break and a remodel (courtesy of restaurant specialist Cass Calder Smith). The chef remains the same, but new GM Lisa Robins has reported for duty.

Inside Scoop also reports that Jeremy Fox has left Tyler Florence's restaurant empire after helping the latter open Rotisserie and Wine. As they go their separate ways, Fox is going to write a book, while Florence is going to open a third restaurant. SFoodie hasn't checked their Facebook pages yet to see if they're still friends.

Tablehopper learns that Sarah Burchard, chef de cuisine of Barbacco, is stepping down, citing burnout.

The San Francisco Street Food Festival was another success this year. Dozens of vendors with original, unheard-of creations, such as deep fried mac and cheese on a stick, black pea paste pancakes, and Korean quesadillas. Then there was the comfort foods we've grown accustomed to, like creme bruleé, shrimp rolls, and pound cake. Photographs by Mabel Jimenez.
