Everybody's Irish on St. Patrick's Day, right? Especially if you were able to find that forest-green American Apparel hoody this morning behind all those jeans belt-looped to the wall hooks. Even food-truck vendors skew Irish on Mar. 17, no matter what cuisine they take their cue from. Case in point: Tonight's Off the Grid Upper Haight, where the nine vendors slated to sell are each offering a special St. Patty's day dish. SFoodie wasn't able to nail down every vendor, but here are the five we've been able to glean:

Chairman Bao: Guinness-braised pork shoulder on panang-dyed green buns

Hapa SF: Dark chocolate Guinness brownies with Baileys glaze

Senor Sisig: House-made Guinness ice cream (guessing here, based on twitpics and wink-wink tweets)

Little Green Cyclo: Green-tea dipping sauce for the fries and tater tots

CupKates: Guinness cupcakes

See a common thread here? Widgets everywhere heave a sigh of relief on Mar. 18. Oh, and on a serious note, OtG Upper Haight vendor Onigilly is donating 10 percent of tonight's sales to Japan quake relief.

Off the Grid Upper Haight: Stanyan and Waller Streets, 4:30-8:30 p.m.

  • U2 @ SAP Center in San Jose
Last night U2 performed the first U.S. date of it’s Innocence + Experience tour at SAP Center in San Jose. All four band members were present despite recent injuries sustained by both Bono and Edge. The sold out show took audience members on a walk down memory lane as the band revisited their roots. The innovative stage and lighting used gave the arena show an intimate feel, and engaged audience members in all sections of the venue. Photographs by Sugarwolf.

The 103rd annual Bay to Breakers 12K race was packed on Sunday despite the cold weather. With a starting point a few blocks from The Embarcadero, people dressed as bananas, Elvis and everything in between ran west through the city and finished at the Great Highway where breakers crash onto Ocean Beach.
