Sutton Cellars Hosts Weekend Event with Best Name: Jug Sunday

Jug Sundays at Sutton Cellars

Where: Sutton Cellars, 601 22nd St. (at Illinois)

When: Sun., June 12, 2-5 p.m.

Cost: Free

The rundown: It's that time again: Jug Sunday. This Sunday, Sutton Cellars will be out during Sunday Streets in the Bayview to hook you up with some dranks. Carl Sutton will tap a full barrel of wine, and you can taste on site and purchase by the jug or liter bottle ($13.50 jug, $15 a liter). This month's special guests include TomKat, who will serve up Asian-style street food, and Recchiuti Confections, who will sell the goodies they make upstairs. Michael Recchiuti himself will be swinging by throughout the day, so there's a chance you'll meet a real-life Willy Wonka. Wine and chocolate: Is there anything better (that's also legal)?

Also happening during Sunday Streets, Oliver's Butchery will be open for a preview day with a selection of fresh meats and homemade sausages to take home and grill up. The French-style butcher shop is slated to officially open next Thursday.

Once you've had your fill of wine, head to Rickshaw Bagworks where Mission Bicycle will have some special edition shirts and bags. The companies are pairing up to sponsor live music all day, too. Check it out:
