The past 24 hours in gossip, innuendo, and cold hard facts about the San Francisco food scene.

While Tacolicious was readying to open its Mission location last week, our own Ellen Huet caught up with their spokesperson and discovered that due to some electrical issues, they've pushed the opening back to at least the week after Thanksgiving.

The team behind the Dark Horse Inn let us know that the Crocker-Amazon restaurant and bar will open tomorrow (942 Geneva at Mission). They'll offer hot sandwiches and burgers alongside their beer and wine selection.

Earlier this year we mentioned the problems Oakland was having with it's food truck laws, mainly Bites on Browadway, as it was on, then off, then on again, after the organizer Karen Hester and the city went back and forth over whether the food truck gathering was in accordance with city codes. Now, What the Fork has an update on the debacle. The Oakland's Community and Economic Development Committee members approved a resolution that would allow for more streamlined, and balanced process for food trucks to operate within the city limits. The City Council will look at the new plan December 6.

Chef Shuffle: Inside Scoop reveals that Christopher Wong will leave Luella and reappear at Social Kitchen & Brewery. The restaurant will keep on its current food and beer pairing course, with Wong bringing new flavors of American, Asian, and Mexican cuisine to the menu.

Thursday looks to be the day: Eater SF says the American-French-Italian restaurant Castagna's opening day looks like it'll be tomorrow (2015 Chestnut at Fillmore).
