The past 24 hours in gossip, innuendo, and cold hard facts about the San Francisco food scene.

Those looking forward to Local's Corner opening can plan on stopping by for dinner service starting April 17. But before then, their origin restaurant, Local: Mission Eatery, will have an extra night of dinner service as of next week.

The Westfield Centre has a couple new places to refuel between rounds of Mall Madness. The mall-squad let us know the Teavana tea shop has opened as well as the Ghiradelli Ice Cream & Chocolate Shop. And for the restaurants outside of the food-court arena, the pending "under the Dome" restaurant from Martin Yan, M.Y. China, is still slated to open in late Summer, and La Boulange de Dome is on track to open before the end of Spring.

Openings: Tablehopper discovers Cerverceria de MateVeza's opening day is slated for Saturday (3801 18th St. at Church). Did you hear that Dolores Park revelers? Caffeinated brews and empanadas!

It's hard to turn down a deli sandwich -- no matter how full we are. And Tablehopper notes SOMA residents will soon have to deal with the temptations of 1058Hoagie (from the Deli Board team). Sandwiches will be available via take-out and bike deliveries (Tablehopper speculates the delivery service will coincide with Giants' game nights).

Closing/opening: Frjtz, the place to get crepes and fries, is closing its Hayes Valley location at the end of the month. Inside Scoop shares the owners are going to focus their efforts on the Mission District Frjtz, and have sold the Hayes Street space. Expect a film noir and jazz themed spot, with a full food menu, beer and wine, and the moniker Noir. No opening date as of yet.
