Don't worry, you're not the only one who feels overwhelmed by the SF Beer Week schedule. On Saturday morning, sleep in and wake up feeling refreshed. Or, possibly not so refreshed if you attended the Opening Gala celebration on Friday night. Start your day with a beer cooking demo from Abbot's Cellar chef Adam Dulye:
CUESA's Cook with Beer Demo
Where: CUESA Ferry Plaza classroom, S.F.
When: Feb. 9, 11 a.m. to noon
Cost: Free, with recipes and samples for all
What: Learn to brine and pickle with beer with Chef Dulye. Munch on tasty treats.
Now that you have some beer pickles in your stomach, head to Beer Revolution for a celebration of wine-barrel-aged beers:
Wine-Barrel-Aged Beer Tastival
Where: Beer Revolution, 464 Third St., Oakland
When: Feb. 9, 2 to 11 p.m.
Cost: Pay per drink
What: In conjunction with Brewpublic, Beer Rev is filling its bountiful taps with beers aged in various types of wine barrels. Enjoy a great excuse to swirl your beer and gush about tannins. Expect special brews from numerous Bay Area and Oregon breweries.
Or, for an all-out barrage of barrel-aged brews, grab a ticket to the Jug Shop's barrel blowout:
Jug Shop Barrel-Aged Festival
When: Feb. 9, 7:30 to 10 p.m.
Where: The Jug Shop, 1590 Pacific, S.F.

On Sunday morning, you'll need to grab some strong coffee and slap yourself across the face. It's time for another barrage of barrel-aged and sour treats:
Where: Feb 10, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Cost: $30, cash only
What: Over 80 sour and barrel-aged beers between the two bars, with local products featured at Jupiter and imported brews at Triple Rock. Your ticket gets you a commemorative tasting glass, eight beer tickets, and possibly a bad case of heartburn. $3 for additional beer tickets.
The Bruery Grand Tasting
Where: Fat Angel, 1740 O'Farrell, S.F.
When: Feb. 10, 4 to 6 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. (two seatings)
