Your weekly guide to S.F.'s best pop-ups and temporary restaurants.

The Lunch Pad

When: Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Where: Noir Lounge

Cost: $6-$12

The Rundown: Artisan sandwiches are available during the day at Hayes Valley wine bar Noir Lounge, five days a week. Stop in for the "Juan Bon Jovi," piled with roasted turkey, brie, arugula, bacon, horseradish cream, and roasted pears. Or try the "A-Bomb," with roasted turkey, habañero candied bacon, pepper jack, greens, tomatoes, red onion, and chipotle remoulade.

LOQUI

When: Friday and sometimes Saturday 7:30 p.m.-midnight, or whenever they sell out.

Where: 3609 18th St.

The Rundown: The space between Tartine Bakery and Pizzeria Delfina is home to a Mexican street food pop-up from Tartine baker Cameron Wallace and Mexico native Ari Ampudia. Antojitos are served standing up, never by a waiter or on a fancy plate. They've even come up with a set of rules to how Mexican street food works. House specialties include fresh pressed tortillas that envelop mesquite-grilled carne asada or birria (a spicy meat stew) stuffed pelonas buns. Get there early because this place sells out quick.

Rice Paper Scissors

When: Thursday 6-10 p.m.

Where: Mojo Bicycle Cafe

Cost: $7-$10

The Rundown: Throughout the remainder of October, RPS is serving up a late summer early fall menu. The Eight Treasures Rice Plate recreates the family meal, except that it's served in one bowl. The dish features small portions of chicken confit, buttery corn, caramel eggplant, and pickled veggies served over rice. Banh Canh Ca is a seafood noodle soup with salmon fishcakes, fish balls and house made tapioca noodles. Here's the full menu.
