Hapa Ramen Promises a Year of Free Ramen for the Officer Who Brought in Hunter Pence's Scooter

Some San Francisco residents called for the return of Bat Kid to solve the crime of Hunter Pence's stolen scooter, but Richie Nakano had a different solution in mind: offer a year of free ramen for the return of Pence's prized transportation.

Hapa Ramen posted a picture to Twitter Tuesday with a depiction of the souped-up scooter and the promise of a year of free ramen for its safe return. Yesterday, the scooter was turned in anonymously to a police station. With the absence of a culprit, Hapa Ramen returned to Twitter, posting "come get your years worth of free ramen mr officer."

Hunter Pence was robbed of his beloved scooter while dining at Epic Roast House on Sunday night after a Giants game. Pence famously rides his scooter to and from games, and even insisted on riding it home in the rain after he hit the game-winning 3-run double to keep the Giants World Series run alive in 2012.

Epic Roast House began the promotional search by offering two free dinners to anyone who delivered the scooter back to Pence. Lefty O'Doul's also offered $200 and two free drinks for the scooter's return.

Pence was touched by the amount of support, via Twitter and the media, he received over the stolen scooter and is considering auctioning it off for charity, as he had already purchased a new one.
