The farm-to-table fad shows no signs of slowing down — get ready for the table-to-farm lunches, Seasons
, the folks at Nopa are putting together for you.
With the help of Feastly
, a website dedicated to uniting "feasters" and food, the seven-meal series will begin later this month and end in November. Tickets are on sale now
for $150 per person per meal.
Inspired by the field trips and outings Nopa's staff members would embark on, these lunch dates put a group of curious diners on a solar powered bus and aim to educate them as to where their food comes from. Most of these meals will be situated at local farms such as Devoto Orchards, Riverdog Farm, Free Spirit Farm, and Point Reyes Creamery, where there will be tours and chances to interact with farm owners as well as eat the food they produce. A few family-style lunches will be held at Nopa. There will even be a beer tasting and sausage lunch at Lagunitas Brewery.
Feastly plays the middleman between food enthusiasts, the cook and the eater, and was launched in November 2011. Bay Area chefs from the Cool Beans pop-up

, and others have hosted an abundance of meals since then. Nopa is using the site to bring their community to the source of their food.
This obviously isn't the first time that farms have opened their gates to the public — Outstanding in the Field
has been doing it since 1999 with its first dinner at Mariquita Farm
in Watsonville, Calif.
