Baby Blues BBQ

3149 Mission (at Powers)
(at Precita)
San Francisco, CA 94110
896-4250
Website
Some of the best barbecue in San Francisco, served in a room in which you actually want to linger (unlike most local barbecue spots) -- what's not to like? The perhaps overly complicated menu offers many ways to combine the basics: excellent pulled pork, shredded beef brisket, wonderful Memphis ribs, meaty baby back ribs, and an enormous, Flinstonian grilled beef rib (served one to a plate). Fourteen different sides are on offer. The banana pudding has a texture like thick whipped cream, and the pecan pie is very good, as is the cornbread. - Meredith Brody
