Kiss Seafood

1700 Laguna (at Sutter)
San Francisco, CA 94115
415-474-2866
This tiny, immaculate, modern-looking spot has a five-seat sushi counter and three small tables, so a reservation is probably a good idea if you want to experience superb sushi, sashimi, and cooked dishes. The best way to go is to order one of the two omakase menus, each featuring 5 or 6 plates including sashimi and sushi (and a bargain at $42 or $60 each). There's a nice sake list too.
