Marrakech

419 O’Farrell (at Taylor)
San Francisco, CA 94102
415-776-6717
Website
This venerable Moroccan restaurant is exotically decorated, with low banquettes, brass tray tables, and hassocks. The prix-fixe menu includes three starters, a choice of entrée, dessert, and mint tea (a la carte entrées are available for less). The food is well-prepared and sincere. Excellent for large parties. Belly-dancing happens nightly to recorded music, and servers join in on tabla. Surprisingly family-friendly. - Meredith Brody

The Inside Word on Marrakech

Wanna feel like you are in Morocco come to the Marrakeck on Thursday nights at 8pm. The whole experience is first rate. Before dinner they come to your table and wash your hands with rose water. The food is fantastic~!!~. At 8pm Christina belly dances and she is the absolute best. She dances again at 9pm with the live band and it is a experience you have to behold. After dinner they wash your hands again, Then it is hookah time. A first rate experience you have to try in the City. They have belly dancing every night but Christina is the best.

Very good food. Belly dancers. Food served on low tables in front of couches where you sit. Dark and colorful environment. Feels like you are in Morocco. Very cool.
