Mayflower Seafood Restaurant

6255 Geary (at 27th Ave.)
San Francisco, CA 94121
415-387-8338
A stunning array (up to 80 dishes) of traditional dim sum makes the long Sunday wait at this Outer Richmond Cantonese spot well worth it. Offerings range from pork/shrimp dumplings topped with lobster roe, rice noodle filled with shrimp or pork, eggplant stuffed with shrimp, and truly excellent pastries, such as the steamed thousand-layer cake or traditional custard tarts. Dinner is more formal and equally worthwhile — try the cold chicken in wine sauce, dried scallop soup, sautéed pea sprouts, or chicken with black pepper sauce in a clay pot.
