The stellar cooking of Michael Tusk, veteran of Chez Panisse and Oliveto, served in a comfortable but formal setting, features the best meats and seasonal produce in a constantly changing menu of starters, meats and fish, and (our favorite) pastas. Some of the simplest preparations (tajarin, a thin pasta with butter and sage; ethereal gnocchi with butter and fresh peas) are the best. There's also a well-chosen and affordable wine list, and delicate pastries made with fresh fruit.
