The period, Lincoln Log exterior might lead you to expect classic diner food at this snug, family-run coffee shop (which boasts a spacious garden patio out back), but the cooked-from-scratch fare is several cuts above those expectations: The ham-and-cheese sandwich special has slices of juicy pear tucked into it, the fat fish sticks are homemade and come with a dilled tartar sauce and chunks of Meyer lemon, and there are Swedish crepes as well as pancakes on the short but choice breakfast-and-lunch menu.
