This sister restaurant of the highly regarded Village Pub in Woodside offers wonderful fresh, seasonal New American cooking in a lush, comfortable setting. The onetime auto garage is now lined in chocolate-brown and offers the most comfortable caramel faux-ostrich-leather-covered chairs, at which you'll enjoy chef Mark Sullivan's famed house-made charcuterie or sweet-and-sour sardines, main courses of grilled steak with duck fat potatoes and bordelaise, pork tenderloin paired with crispy pork belly and shelling beans, or seared albacore with sweet corn fondue and braised chanterelles, followed by house-baked palmiers warm from the oven, or a witty brandied cherry ice cream soda.
