Tucked among the attractive stores and varied restaurants of Berkeley's popular Fourth Street shopping strip is this taqueria, an offshoot of the excellent Doña Tomás restaurant in Oakland. The place uses Niman Ranch meats to turn out delicious tacos, tortas, tamales, and other antojitos for lunch, and such egg dishes as chilaquiles and chorizo and eggs for breakfast. You order at the counter and the waitstaff brings the food to your table, in a soaring space whose décor is influenced by the Mexican architect Luis Barragán.
