52 Acts to See This Week

This week’s show offerings lean heavily toward electronic and dance music. That said, if you’re in the mood to roll your face off and get lost in some bass drops, you’re in luck, because acts like Big Wild, San Holo, Viceroy, and a slew of DJs are coming to town.

Rock shows are sparse this week, and the bulk of them consist of older bands, like Y & T, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Old 97’s, The Kills, and Teenage Fan Club. If you’re into prog-rock, definitely check out Covet at Bottom of the Hill, and if you’re looking to see a thowback act, there’s always Save Ferris at the Independent.

Rap is also under-represented this week, but there are some talented lyricists coming our way. Big Sean is the most well-known, but don’t sleep on Kate Tempest, Sam Lachow, or Little Simz, either.

As always, check out our playlist below, because who knows? You might discover your new favorite artist.
